Here at Living Wilmslow, all our Ted Todd Floors come from sustainable sources that have FSC, PEFC or equivalent certification. As a wood floor is 100% natural, renewable and biodegradable, you will never find any plastics, synthetic materials or man-made chemicals contained in them. Laminates, Vinyl and ceramic Floors go to great lengths to copy the look of wood flooring but miss the point that wood has environmental benefits and if cared for, can look like new for years to come with also the option to restore and refurbish multiple times allowing the natural beauty of the floor to last a lifetime.
Ted Todd believe it’s their responsibility to know exactly where their wood comes from and if their suppliers can’t prove its origin, or that’s its sourced in accordance with their strict environmental policy, then they simply will not deal with them. Ted Todd have been FSC compliant Since 1997 and don’t charge extra for this certification, as they believe it’s the right thing to do.
What is FSC ?
The Forest Stewardship Council is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. FSC has developed a system of forest certification and product labelling that enables people to identify responsibly sourced wood, paper and other forest products. The FSC system is unique and ensures trees that are harvested are replanted or allowed to regenerate naturally. The forests are well managed with due respect for the environment, the wildlife and people who live and work in them. So many things in our lives come from forests such as wood, paper, tissues, furniture and boxes, etc. FSC helps take care of forests and the people and wildlife who call them home. So you can keep your life full of forest products while keeping our forests full of life.
Remember to look for the FSC logo labels!………
